Barbecue-Style Spanish Rice Serving Size : 4
16 ounces diced tomatoes, Rotel 1 cup instant rice 1/2 cup green bell pepper -- finely chopped 1/4 cup finely chopped onion 1/4 cup water 2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce 1 teaspoon sugar 3/4 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon chili powder 1/2 teaspoon dried basil 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
1. In a heavy skillet combine all ingredients except butter or margarine.
2. Dot mixture with butter or margarine.
3. Cover skillet and cook over medium-hot coals until done, 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
4. Before serving fluff rice with fork.
