Italian Beef
Points: 7 Servings: 8
Ingredients:
2 ½ lb roast -- trimmed of any fat (2.5 to 3.0) 1 package Good Seasons Italian Seasoning Mix 1 can beef broth (14 oz) 1 jar pepperoncini peppers (undrained) 1 large Vidalia Onion, sliced (not in original recipe)
Directions:
Put roast in the crockpot then top with remaining ingredients. Cook on low 6-8 hours. Now, you can either have a nice Italian roast dinner or you can go onto the next step and make BBQ or cheese steak sandwiches.
Shread the beef (which literally is falling apart at this stage) Use bread of choice (hoagy, pita, etc.) Thinly sliced provolone cheese Mayonnaise or condiment of choice Spread beef, peppers & cheese on bread. Enjoy. (Be sure to add points for bread & cheese).
